I am often drawn to interesting designs with dramatic details. I like them, I want to sew them, and... I'd never wear them. The wardrobe items that get consistent wear around here are of classic shapes, free of extraneous details, in solid colors. Simple, classic patterns then:
- pencil skirt - my own draft (seen here)
- pants - TNT pattern, originally from Burda WOF 8/98 #106, altered to remove the pleats (seen here)
- fitted shirt - TNT pattern from New Look 6407 (seen here)
- knit tank top - TNT pattern from KwikSew 2759 (seen here)
- fitted jacket - short version, TNT pattern from FSG 1945 (seen here)
- sweater jacket - TNT pattern from PMB (seen here)
- sheath dress - my own draft (seen here), both with and without sleeves
- sweater/knit dress - TNT pattern from Burda WOF 3/02 #125 (seen here)
- coat - probably from Burda WOF 3/10 #101

You've chosen some very nice patterns. I'm doing my own corporate wardrobe but am not brave enough to publish a list. I might have to stick to it!
Really great way of planning and I love the designs especially that coat. It's makes it so easy when you know your style - my problem I love lots of styles but they don't necessarily suit me.
