I've been knitting slowly but surely and the body of the sweater is almost done. Just needs a couple more inches of ribbing.
When I finished the short rows for bust and all the decreases for front and back darts, it was decision time. I tried it on and liked it a lot. I had several choices: (a) continuing in stockinette all the way to the bottom and end with an inch or so of seed stitch, (b) 2x2 rib all the way to the hem, and (c) 2x2 cabled rib all the way to the hem. I really like the seed stitch neckline. Very simple and pretty. I think I'll use the same size border for the sleeve hems when I get that far. I am really hoping to wear the finished sweater this Christmas. With the black pants from earlier this year that I have finally hemmed (and now they're finished).
