Vacation stuff

Whew! It's been a great vacation - went to Missouri to see in-laws. No school, no work, just relaxing and knitting. I made a new grey capelet to replace the first one which is going to be given away. I made this new one with Patons Classic Merino Wool, a beautiful and soft yarn. And I used #9 needles, which made it a bit longer. Then I made a felted hat to go with it, my DMIL was impressed!

I also finished the pale purple mohair wrap from Ponchos & Wraps (A Knitter's dozen). It took three hours to put the fringe on! They were three wonderful hours filled with conversation with my DMIL and DFIL.

I really need to get my behind in gear and take pictures. For now, here's a picture of two Squiggle scarves I made as Christmas gifts - the green one went to my sister, the orange one to my DMIL. My mom got a similar one but hers has more yellow in it.
