Red capelet

I made this one the week of our wedding. I needed a project to keep my sanity intact, and figured there was nothing better than a pattern I already knew, and yarn I love to work with.
Stitch Diva Studios' Casual Glamour Capelet in Cascade 220, again; this time the trim is Adriafil Stars from the discount bin at my LYS. Actually, this was the first time I used a trim on this pattern, and seeing the result, I went back to the grey capelet and trimmed it in winter white.
The only thing with these "furry" yarns is that I don't see how one would do more than one row of crochet. You can't see the darn stitches. How do people ever make a whole garment from yarns like that?

Last week I also made a hat to go with this capelet, but more about that when I get a decent picture.
